The app collects no logs or usage data, so we cannot see what is happening on your phone. When you write, please describe:

• Whether you use an iPhone or an Android phone, and which OS version.
• The app version (currently 1.0.0).
• What you tapped, and what the app did compared with what you expected.

Please do not attach backup files, screenshots showing family phone numbers, or health data unless we specifically ask — we do not need your data in order to fix a bug.

Quick fixes

I am moving to a new phone

On the old phone: Account → Back up / Restore → BACK UP, set a password, then send the file to the new phone (AirDrop, email, a messaging app, Files…). On the new phone: install the app, open the same screen, tap RESTORE FROM FILE and enter the password. The app will ask whether to Replace everything or Merge with what is here.

I forgot my backup password

That file cannot be opened again. The password is stored nowhere and there is no back door — which is exactly what keeps your health data safe if the file ends up with someone else. If the app is still on the old phone, make a fresh backup with a password you will remember.

Reminders do not fire

Check each of these: notification permission is granted to the app in your phone’s settings; the reminder is switched on inside the app; the phone is not in battery-saver, Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode. Some Android manufacturers also have a separate setting that lets an app schedule exact alarms.

The call button does not reach anyone

Check that your family contacts have correct phone numbers (Account → Family). The app calls each contact in turn, for at most two rounds, then stops and tells you nobody answered. Remember this is not an emergency button — in an emergency, call emergency services.

Slack messages are not arriving

Open Account → Slack notifications and check that sending is switched on and the webhook address is saved. The address must begin with https://hooks.slack.com/. Use SEND A TEST to check it. The phone needs a connection. If Slack fails, your reading is still saved normally — the app never discards a reading because a message could not be sent.

The app cannot read my monitor’s display

Take the photo straight on, with good light, framing just the part of the display with the numbers, and avoid glare. If it still fails, type the numbers in — the photo feature is only a shortcut, never a requirement.
