Medical Disclaimer
If you notice dangerous symptoms, call emergency services or go to the nearest hospital immediately — in Vietnam that number is 115. Do not stop to open the app or enter a reading.
What the app does
Sổ Huyết Áp records the numbers you measure with your own blood-pressure monitor, orders them by time, charts them, and produces a report you can hand to your doctor. That is the whole of its role.
What the app does not do
- It does not measure blood pressure. The monitor is your device; the app only copies the numbers down.
- It is not a medical device and is not certified as one.
- It does not diagnose. The app never concludes whether you have hypertension.
- It does not prescribe medication or advise on doses.
- It does not detect stroke, heart attack, or any other emergency.
- It is not a medical alert system. The family call button simply opens the phone dialler, exactly as if you had typed the number yourself.
About the three labels
The labels Ổn định (Stable), Cần theo dõi (Watch) and Cần chú ý (Attention) are derived from the systolic and diastolic values, following the office blood-pressure classification of the Vietnam Society of Hypertension (VNHA/VSH 2021) and the International Society of Hypertension (ISH 2020). Pulse never changes the label.
The labels exist to make trends easy to see. They are not a diagnosis:
- A single reading is not enough to conclude hypertension. Diagnosis requires repeated readings, taken properly, and assessed by a healthcare professional.
- Home readings are usually lower than readings taken in a clinic, and the thresholds used for home diagnosis differ. The app deliberately does not use diagnostic thresholds to assign labels.
- Only a doctor, working from your history, your medication and an examination, can determine your actual condition.
Numbers read from a photo can be wrong
The photo feature only pre-fills the form to save you typing. Lighting, angle and the digit style on your monitor’s display can all cause a misread. Check the numbers against the monitor before saving. The app never saves a photo-read result on its own.
Do not rely on the app in an emergency
The family call sequence depends on the operating system and your mobile network; calls may fail or go unanswered. Reminders can be delayed by the operating system. Nothing in this app replaces calling emergency services.
Talk to your doctor
Consult a healthcare professional before changing medication, diet or exercise, even when the numbers in the app look good. If you experience a severe headache, dizziness, chest pain, difficulty breathing, weakness or numbness on one side, or trouble speaking, call emergency services immediately — whatever label the app is showing.
